💼 Digital Training for Employment Launched by WBDO

In a commendable step towards building economic independence for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), the West Bengal Disability Organization (WBDO) initiated a free digital skill development training program in June 2023, under the dynamic leadership of Vice President Mr. Arnab Ghosh.

This ongoing initiative aims to tackle the high unemployment rates among PWDs by equipping them with in-demand digital skills, making them job-ready and tech-savvy in today’s competitive world.

🖥️ What’s Being Taught?

The training focuses on Cloud Computing and day-to-day digital office operations through hands-on sessions in:

  • Google Workspace apps like Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Meet, and Chrome

  • Microsoft 365 tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Introduction to file sharing, collaboration tools, and cloud data management

Participants are taught how to efficiently use these platforms for remote work, freelance jobs, and office tasks — making them capable of working in modern, hybrid work environments.

📲 How the Training Happens

The classes are conducted online every Monday at 7 PM. Learners can join live sessions through shared Google Meet links circulated in dedicated WhatsApp training groups. The platform ensures inclusivity and allows PWDs from various locations to participate using mobile or desktop devices.
